Bengaluru: Aequs Limited is expanding its presence in the global aerospace manufacturing supply chain through new long-term supply agreements with Safran, covering components for Airbus and Boeing aircraft programmes.
The contracts extend Aequs’ engagement with Safran across landing systems, aerosystems and electronics and defence businesses. The partnership now spans six entities within the French aerospace group.
Under the agreements, Aequs will undertake the machining of superalloy parts, as well as precision machining, coating and assembly of landing gear components. The programmes include the Airbus A320, A330 and A350 families and the Boeing 787.
Manufacturing is expected to be carried out at Aequs’ upcoming Engine Components Ecosystem in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, alongside its existing aerospace facilities in Belagavi, Karnataka. The latter has capabilities spanning forging, precision machining, surface treatment, specialised processes and assembly.
The development builds on Aequs’ existing relationship with Safran Landing Systems and a separate agreement announced in July 2026 for the manufacture of fully assembled wheels for the Airbus A320 family. That contract extends until 2042.
The expanded collaboration reflects the growing role of Indian manufacturing facilities in supporting global aerospace programmes, particularly in precision engineering and the production of critical aircraft components.
