IPTEX & GRINDEX 2028 to Be Held at Chennai Trade Centre

Chennai, India: Virgo Communications & Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd., the organiser of IPTEX & GRINDEX, has announced that the 2028 edition of the exhibition will be held from 2–4 March 2028 at the Chennai Trade Centre, marking a significant milestone in the event’s evolution and growth.

Over the years, IPTEX & GRINDEX has established itself as one of India’s leading exhibitions for the gear, power transmission, machine tool, and allied manufacturing industries. With increasing participation from domestic and international exhibitors, along with growing visitor attendance, the exhibition has continued to expand its industry footprint.

According to Virgo Communications & Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd., the decision to move to Chennai aligns with the exhibition’s long-term growth strategy and the need for a venue capable of supporting its expanding scale. The Chennai Trade Centre offers larger exhibition space, modern infrastructure, and enhanced facilities designed to accommodate future growth and provide an improved experience for exhibitors and visitors alike.

The organisers acknowledged the important role played by the Pune Auto Cluster in the successful development of IPTEX & GRINDEX over the years. As the exhibition enters a new phase of growth, the move to Chennai is expected to create additional opportunities for industry engagement, technology exchange, and business development.

Chennai is widely recognised as one of India’s major manufacturing and engineering hubs, supported by a strong industrial ecosystem comprising automotive, aerospace, engineering, machine tool, and component manufacturing sectors. The city’s proximity to key industrial clusters such as Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Thiruvallur, Vellore, and Sri City, as well as its connectivity to neighbouring states including Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala, is expected to further enhance the exhibition’s reach.

The region is home to several prominent industrial zones, including Ambattur Industrial Estate, Guindy, Perungudi, Thirumudivakkam, Sriperumbudur, Oragadam, Maraimalai Nagar, Mahindra World City, and Gummidipoondi, along with numerous MSME manufacturing clusters. These factors position Chennai as a strategic destination for industry stakeholders, technology providers, and end users.

With the move to Chennai, IPTEX & GRINDEX aims to strengthen its role as a premier platform for showcasing advancements in gear manufacturing, power transmission technologies, machine tools, automation, and industrial innovation.

Virgo Communications & Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd. stated that the exhibition floor plan and participation details will be released shortly, enabling exhibitors to proceed with their space bookings for the 2028 edition.
