Schaeffler, the Motion Technology Company, has been named a recipient of the prestigious General Motors (GM) Supplier of the Year Award, recognising its outstanding performance as a trusted supplier and its contributions to GM’s growth, innovation, and customer success.
The award was presented during the 34th annual General Motors Supplier of the Year event held in Austin, Texas. This marks the sixth time Schaeffler has received the honour, highlighting the company’s continued excellence in supporting GM across critical engine technologies, including advanced valvetrain systems.
The GM Supplier of the Year awards recognise suppliers that closely align with the automaker’s core values and strategic priorities. Winners are evaluated on their performance in key areas such as innovation, safety, execution, resilience, and customer support.
“Receiving this prestigious award from General Motors is a meaningful recognition of our commitment to quality and performance,” said Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler AG. “It reflects the trust and strong relationship we have and our shared focus on innovation and operational excellence. We are honoured to support GM’s continued success through technologies that are helping transform the future of motion.”
Commenting on the recognition, Jon Jameson, Senior Vice President and GM Global Key Account Manager at Schaeffler, said, “This recognition is a direct reflection of the close collaboration between Schaeffler and GM and the passion our teams bring to delivering outstanding performance every day.”
This year, 103 suppliers from 14 countries were recognised with the GM Supplier of the Year Award, underscoring the global scale and competitiveness of GM’s supplier ecosystem.
“Supplier of the Year is one of those key moments our whole team looks forward to every year because it highlights the partnerships behind every vehicle we build,” said Shilpan Amin, Senior Vice President, Global Chief Procurement and Supply Chain Officer, General Motors. “The results our suppliers deliver throughout the entire product development cycle are central to our ability to deliver world-class vehicles to our customers. When our suppliers, such as Schaeffler, lean in with us on new technology and flawless execution, we can move faster, compete harder and unlock more value across the entire supply chain.”
The latest recognition reinforces Schaeffler’s position as a strategic technology partner to leading global automotive manufacturers and highlights its continued commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality solutions that support the evolving mobility landscape.
