Mitsubishi’s Climaveneta Climate Technologies to Invest ₹400 Crore in Bengaluru Facility

Mitsubishi Electric’s subsidiary, Climaveneta Climate Technologies (CCT), has recently announced a significant investment of ₹400 crore to establish an ultramodern manufacturing facility in Narsapura, Kolar district, Bengaluru. This new venture underscores CCT’s commitment to strengthening its presence in India’s growing climate technology market.

This plant will focus on manufacturing advanced central air-conditioning equipment, including screw chillers, magnetic levitation technology chillers, scroll chillers, conventional centrifugal chillers, high-precision air conditioning units, and heat pumps. These products will cater to both domestic and international markets, reflecting India’s growing role as a global manufacturing hub. The facility is expected to generate approximately 500 jobs, boosting the local economy.

Highlighting the strategic importance of the project, Anil Dev, CEO of Climaveneta Climate Technologies, stated, “Reliable cooling systems are essential to prevent equipment failures in data centres. CCT’s advanced, sustainable, and efficient air conditioning solutions ensure ideal environments across data centres, commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, and manufacturing units.”

The investment aligns with CCT’s broader vision to double its annual order intake over the next five years. Currently, the company boasts an order booking of over ₹500 crore, indicating robust growth potential in the climate technology sector.

Bengaluru’s strategic advantages, including a skilled workforce, a strong ecosystem of manufacturing and technology firms, and supportive government policies, have played an important role in this decision. Atsushi Takase, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Electric India, emphasized the company’s plans to enhance its investments in Bengaluru and explore expansion opportunities across India.

With the exception of Climaveneta India, Mitsubishi Electric Group operates two other subsidiaries in Karnataka: Mitsubishi Elevator India Private Limited (IMEC) and Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (TMEIC). The group’s diversified presence strengthens its confidence in India’s dynamic market and infrastructure capabilities.

This development highlights Mitsubishi Electric’s commitment to innovation and sustainable growth in India, leveraging the region’s strengths to deliver cutting-edge solutions to global markets.
