Marking a major stride in the U.S. technology and engineering sector, L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has unveiled its new Engineering Design Center in Plano, Texas. The cutting-edge facility is set to emerge as a key innovation hub, focusing on artificial intelligence, digital manufacturing, cybersecurity, and smart mobility solutions.
The newly inaugurated center will initially house 100 engineers, with plans to expand and generate over 350 high-skilled jobs. It will support core segments such as Mobility, Tech, and Smart Manufacturing, and reflects LTTS’ ongoing commitment to strengthening its presence in the U.S. through nearshore capabilities.
Equipped with ITAR-compliant infrastructure, the center is tailored to design and test defense-related systems and will also host a full-fledged Security Operations Center to support Smart City applications. Notable technologies showcased at the launch included LTTS’ Factory of the Future solutions, real-time railway inspection tool TrackEI™, and AI-powered medical imaging and smart mobility platforms like iDriVe and Fusion.
The inauguration ceremony saw participation from several dignitaries, including Mayor of Plano John B. Muns, U.S. Congressman Pat Fallon, Consul General of India in Houston Manjunath Chenneerappa, and Caterpillar VP Tim Graham. LTTS President & Executive Director (Mobility & Tech), Alind Saxena, led the company’s representation.
