The new production site in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, reinforces the value chain of Flender’s generator business and expands its global presence. The opening ceremony on 19th August 2026 was attended by customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders from across the wind industry value chain.
This strategic investment is a significant step in Flender’s initiative to expand its wind business in India. At the same time, the company continues to localize the supply chain, including integrated winding operations, to enhance manufacturing capacity closer to its customers. By expanding its presence in India, Flender aims to improve responsiveness, reduce lead times, and further reinforce its reputation as a reliable and trusted partner for the wind industry in India.
