Ramco manufactures components for AC induction, switched reluctance, and brushless DC motor designs. Its offerings include complete motor assemblies, custom stators, AC induction rotors, DC permanent magnet rotors, switched reluctance rotors, and rotor-shaft assemblies.
Ramco winds stator coils and builds custom stator assemblies for motors ranging from fractional horsepower to 200 horsepower and beyond. Its capabilities include lap and concentric wound coils for single- and three-phase AC induction stators, as well as DC brushless stators. Stator cores can be constructed using epoxy bonding, welding, or riveting, with dip-and-bake, VPI, and trickle varnishing options available.
Ramco’s rotor manufacturing capabilities include aluminium and copper casting, induction brazing, permanent magnet rotor assembly, switched reluctance rotor production, and rotor balancing. For rotor and shaft assemblies, the division provides CNC turning, CNC milling, outside-diameter grinding, and balancing.
Ramco can hold outside-diameter grinding tolerances of ±0.0001 inch. Assemblies and subassemblies are inspected using a CMM coordinate measuring machine and other precision gauging equipment.
Every Ramco stator is wound, assembled, and tested by an experienced technician. The division provides application-specific engineering and production support for customers requiring precision motor components, assemblies, and subassemblies, with manufacturing resources suited to low- and mid-volume projects.
