Seco Tools Introduces Web-Based Machine Library for Enhanced Cutting Data Recommendations

Seco Tools has introduced a groundbreaking web-based solution, the Seco Machine Library, aimed at revolutionizing how manufacturers access cutting-edge data. This new tool, part of the Seco My Pages portal, offers customers with instant, machine-specific cutting data, significantly simplifying tool selection and optimization based on specific machine attributes.

The Machine Library allows Seco customers to instantly access precise cutting data tailored to their individual machine characteristics, reducing the guesswork in tool setup. “Machine Library is the latest addition to the Seco My Pages portal that supports customers with a personalized digital experience on secotools.com,” said Simon Karlström, Product Lead at Seco. “Customers can quickly access detailed cutting data for a particular tool based on their specific machine characteristics, in addition to quickly getting product information. Machine Library closes the loop with all the information an operator needs to get the machine-specific cutting data straight away.”

Streamlined Data Entry and Real-Time Access

Users can easily input details about their machines—such as the manufacturer, model, CNC specifications, coolant type, rpm, torque, and power—into their My Pages portal. After building their machine library, they can access machine-specific cutting data recommendations directly from the product details page. This comprehensive approach allows operators to optimize machining parameters including cutting methods and the number of passes, enhancing productivity while minimizing waste.

Increased Productivity and Cost Savings

By providing cutting data based on specific machine configurations, Seco’s Machine Library enables users to bypass trial and error, thereby saving time and reducing costs pertaining to scrap and rework. This feature is specifically valuable as it enables real-time adjustments and seamless integration with future Seco digital products, ensuring that each tool operates at peak efficiency across different machines.

Adaptable to Changing Needs

The Seco Machine Library anchors flexibility by providing recommendations for any machine-tool combination. It also accommodates tools moved between machines, allowing users to save, edit, and access data per their evolving requirements.
