Jill Albertelli
RTX has announced the appointment of Jill Albertelli as president of Pratt & Whitney, effective January 1, 2027. She will report to RTX Chairman and CEO Chris Calio and succeed Shane Eddy, who has decided to retire.
Albertelli brings more than three decades of experience across Pratt & Whitney, with expertise spanning engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, supply chain management, commercial programmes, sales, maintenance, repair and overhaul, transformation, and strategy.
She most recently served as president of Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engines. In this role, Albertelli helped secure the company’s sole-source propulsion position for the F-35 fighter aircraft, improve F-135 engine delivery and quality performance, and expand sustainment capabilities and capacity to support military customer requirements.

Albertelli holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Boston University and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Shane Eddy to Support Transition
Outgoing president Shane Eddy will remain with RTX through March 2027 as a special advisor to support the leadership transition. Eddy has spent more than 40 years in the aerospace industry, progressing from a flight line mechanic to president of Pratt & Whitney, a position he assumed in 2022.
During his tenure as president, Eddy led Pratt & Whitney through a multi-year transformation programme and supported the production and sustainment ramp-up of the company’s Geared Turbofan™ and F135 engines, two key programmes for RTX.
RTX credited Eddy’s leadership and focus on its CORE operating system, employees and customers with contributing to record sales growth and strengthening the business for continued development.
