Bharat Forge Limited has announced a long-term contract with Embraer for the manufacturing and supply of critical landing gear forgings, marking a significant milestone for India’s aerospace manufacturing sector.
Under the agreement, Bharat Forge will supply high-integrity forged components for landing gear systems across Embraer’s commercial and defence aircraft programs. The partnership makes Bharat Forge the first Indian supplier to join Embraer’s global aerospace supply chain for forged components.
The development further strengthens Bharat Forge’s position in the global aerospace ecosystem and highlights its growing capabilities in producing complex, safety-critical aerospace components that meet stringent international certification standards.
Commenting on the development, Amit B Kalyani said, “The fact that BFL is the first Indian supplier of forged components for Embraer is a proud moment and a testament to the capabilities we have built in the Aerospace business. He further added that the contracts will help create scale for critical structural aerospace components while complementing the company’s existing capabilities in the aero engine components segment.
